Participating HMS Physician Speaks at ISTH in Berlin

HMS Participating Physican, Dr. Scott Kaatz of Henry Ford Hospital, gave an oral presentation at the International Society on Thrombosis and Hemostasis (ISTH) on July 11, in Berlin, Germany. The ISTH is an organization advancing the understanding, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of thrombotic and bleeding disorders. Dr. Kaatz, presented his findings with the collaboration of HMS and the data that was collected. His two oral presentations given were, "Validation of the IMPROVE Bleeding Risk Assessment Model in Hospitalized Medical Patients" and "Odds of Pharmacologic Prophylaxis by Venous Thromboembolism and Bleeding Risk Groups".
