Georgiann Ziegler has been in and out of the University of Michigan hospital over the last 12 years, due to her chronic pancreatitis. In that time and based on her experiences, Georgiann has been helping U-M physicians understand issues to care from a patient’s perspective. One of those physicians is Dr. Vineet Chopra, MD, MSc, a PICC expert in HMS. Georgiann was able to work with Dr. Chopra and others to give her viewpoint on vascular access devices and helped develop the MAGIC guideline.
