Lakshmi Swaminathan, MD

Dr. Lakshmi Swaminathan serves as a hospitalist and Division Head of Hospital Medicine at Trinity Health- IHA Medical Group, a large multi-specialty group in SE Michigan. In this role, she oversees hospital medicine operations at four Trinity Health SE Michigan hospitals. Prior to this role, Lakshmi served as an academic hospitalist at Beaumont Health and Clinical Assistant Professor at Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, MI, where she held numerous leadership roles in Quality Improvement and Medical Education. Dr. Swaminathan received her medical degree from the University of Mumbai Topiwala National Medical College in Mumbai, India, and completed her residency in internal medicine at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Ann Arbor, MI. She earned her Master's in Health Services Administration (MHSA) from the School of Public Health, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
